Cervical Screening Training

The Cervical Screening clinical attachment is for cervical screening course participants who have successfully completed the online modules and workshop and wish to undertake their clinical attachment component with True (and not in their own workplace). Please contact the CEU team regarding availability and dates if you wish to undertake your clinical attachment at True

True’s Cervical Screening course provides an education pathway for healthcare professionals new to cervical screening. The course is comprised of three components: 1. Online, self paced learning, 2. One day online workshop via Zoom including assessment 3. Clinical placement (can either be done at your own work place with an endorsed preceptor OR can be done at a True clinic with a True nurse educator)

Clinical attachment (can either be done at your own work place with an endorsed preceptor OR can be done at a True clinic with a True nurse educator)

This online module provides cervical screening providers with critical information about the change to the intermediate risk pathway within the National Cervical Screening Program.

This communication and resource hub collates up to date information on cervical screening in Australia under the National Cervical Screening Program.

As of 1 July 2022, Cervical Screening Tests are available as a self-collection test for all people eligible for cervical screening. There are some situations where self-collection remains unsuitable. This course reviews the current guidelines for self-collection.

The Clinical Teaching Associate session is offered to all learners who are undertaking the face-to-face Cervical Screening course. It is strongly recommended that novice cervical screening providers do this session to develop their speculum technique as well as hone their communication skills in a live simulated environment.
