Real Talk Sex Education Information Session
We are building a sex education resource for young people, and we’d love your help. Find out more about the process, meet the project team and ask any questions you might have about this process in this open 1 hour information session. Feel free to drop in any time to ask your questions.
Description
We are building a resource for young people (15-25) that will cover the topics of sex, sexuality, relationships, pleasure, gender diversity, consent and sexual health. Our goal is to create an informative, but engaging resource that dispels some harmful myths and misconceptions about sex and relationships.
We are looking for engaged young people to engage in creative workshops, give feedback, and provide opinions on how we can develop this resource in the most interesting way.
We are going to run 2 rounds of focus groups in late October. We are looking for young people aged between 15 - 21 to attend these groups. Participants will be financially remunerated for their contributions.
The focus groups will be facilitated by trained (and trauma informed facilitators) who will create a safe and respectful environment for these discussions. We anticipate that we will cover
- Diverse topics concerning sex and relationships
- Where young people are accessing sex and relationships information
- Seek feedback on what makes an engaging resource for them and their peers
These sessions will be run in a collaborative manner that will allow young people to build practical workplace communication skills.
