Description

This webinar is designed to assist early childhood and OSHC professionals and services to create a healthy and safe environment in which children learn about their bodies, relationships and being safe.

If you have purchased the ‘Where do I start? Early childhood package’ you are entitled to two complimentary professional development interactive webinars to support staff to use personal safety resources. No payment is required if you are eligible for a complimentary webinar registration.

True's webinars enable you to access professional training from your home or office using WebEx Online technology. Sessions are facilitated by a True educator using a combination of streaming audio, videos, pictures, presentations and online collaborations. Participants are encouraged to contribute to the online workshop by joining in chat discussions via text or microphone.

This online activity is a self managed process and accessing the webinar is the individual's responsibility. Prior to registration, please check and test your system and the connection requirements to ensure you are able to access this session from your computer.  

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scholarships are available for this course. Please download an application form here and submit at least 10 weeks prior to the course date.

Course aims

  • create a safe and supportive environment to assist children’s healthy sexual development
  • communicate with parents and carers about sexual development and personal safety
  • talk to children about bodies and relationships in a gradual, safe, healthy and positive way

Target audience

  • professionals working with children aged 0-12 years and/or their families in sectors such as: early learning and child care, out-of-school-hours-care (OSHC), education, health, disability, child protection and residential care
