Participants in this practical one day course will develop skills to deliver sexuality education and support healthy sexual development in young people.

Course aims-

  • create a safe and supportive environment to assist children’s healthy sexual development.
  • Understand sexual development as a typical aspect of childhood.
  • communicate with parents and carers about sexual development and personal safety.
  • talk to children about bodies and relationships in a gradual, safe, healthy, and positive way.
  • Apply best practice approaches in responding to disclosure or signs of sexual abuse.
  • Understand best practice considerations for Comprehensive RSE that aligns with Curriculum.
