This course gives an introduction to Female Genital Mutilation/ Cutting/ Circumcision (FGM/C) in Australia, to build capacity for health and professionals to respond to women who have experienced FGM/C in their practice. Interpreters, community workers and educators may also find this module helpful. This course has been developed with the Culturally Responsive Health Advisory Group and community representatives to address cultural awareness and is not a clinical guideline.

This interactive online course aims to provide theoretical and live-online simulated training in the insertion and removal of the contraceptive implant Implanon NXT® and provide product knowledge and patient counselling. Implanon NXT® distance education consists of approximately 2 hours self-paced, online theoretical pre-reading and approximately 1.5 hours of small group, live-online simulation practice via Zoom webinar.

True’s Cervical Screening course provides an education pathway for healthcare professionals new to cervical screening. The course is comprised of three components: 1. Online, self-paced learning modules, 2. One day online workshop via Zoom including assessment 3. Clinical placement (can either be done at your own workplace with an endorsed preceptor OR can be done at a True clinic with a True nurse educator)

Clinical attachment (can either be done at your own workplace with an endorsed preceptor OR can be done at a True clinic with a True nurse educator)

This online module provides cervical screening providers with critical information about the change to the intermediate risk pathway within the National Cervical Screening Program.

This course is for medical and nurse practitioners who wish to expand their knowledge and develop their clinical skills in reproductive and sexual health, including contraception, cervical screening, sexually transmissible infections (STIs), menopause, men’s sexual health, common gynaecological conditions, and other topics in reproductive and sexual health. Clinical attachment will be offered to successful registrants of the theory component.

This course aims to increase clinicians’ confidence in offering genital examination and assessing normal variations or pathology. Clinicians who complete this course will be able to conduct relevant investigations, diagnose pathology, and treat or refer the patient appropriately.

As of 1 July 2022, Cervical Screening Tests are available as a self-collection test for all people eligible for cervical screening. There are some situations where self-collection remains unsuitable. This course reviews the current guidelines for self-collection.
